Entry ONE: "Let Me Explain"

This is my new hub for videos, music, clothing and news. I felt like the format of the old website was becoming dated and was sort-of difficult to navigate...so, you'll find all of my new content & updates here - and there's going to be ALOT of them. IF YOU DON'T KNOW - THERE'S A BRAND NEW 'EP' AND A TON OF NEW MERCH IN THE STORE SECTION. Check it out!

But let's get real for a minute.

First things first; I have to thank you all for sticking with me. The support was overwhelming when I released "See You Tomorrow" + "Dream People & The Whiskey Wars" in 2015. Then, in 2016 I went on a little bit of a hiatus. A lot of you might not know what happened, so I'll give you the condensed version;

2016 started like any other year. I had just spent the holidays with my family in Edmonton and brought in the New Year in EPIC fashion with some close friends of mine somewhere in downtown Vancouver. Things were as they had always been...but they took a drastic turn a few days after New Years. I went out drinking with some people and got home around 2 or 3 A.M. then I laid down in bed to watch a movie while I fell asleep. I don't remember exactly why, but, I tried to get up to walk to the kitchen and the entire room started swaying back and forth. My heart started pounding out of my chest and I couldn't catch my breath. I was having the worst anxiety attack of my life. I laid down on the floor in the bathroom and tried to catch my breathe but I couldn't seem to. Usually, a panic attack lasts 5 or 10 minutes. This panic attack didn't fade with time. This panic attack ended up lasting around 7 months. I was at the doctor's office every other day, seeing a therapist, taking a bunch of different medications...it was a dark time. That's why no music came out in 2016. I apologize for that. BUT - I'M ALL BETTER - AND I WANT TO THANK YOU GUYS FROM THE BOTTEM OF MY HEART FOR STICKING WITH ME. People always say that they "can't thank you enough" but I truly CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH.

Anyway, now we're here. 2017. Life is good once again. I'm living in Los Angeles and I'm loving it. I started dating Nova Rockefeller (HA!) a few months back. We've been best-friends for 10 years, so, it kinda feels like its meant to be. Corny, right? But it's true. As you've probably noticed, we formed a band called GFBF (girlfriend/boyfriend) and we've been working on a TON of new music for you guys. While you're waiting for that to release, you can keep up with us on our Facebook page @ www.facebook.com/we.are.girlfriendboyfriend and on our Instagram page @ we.are.gfbf

Aside from GFBF, I've got a TON of solo stuff that will be coming out this year. As of this morning (Monday, March 13 2017) I've released the "Therapy" EP and the video for "Hangman", a song from the EP. Check it out on the home page. "Therapy" is all of the music I wrote to help drag me out of the hole that was 2016. I truly think it can do something similar for you if you need it to...so, check it out. As of this morning I've also released "All Of Me" which is my COMPLETE discography. It's every song I've ever recorded & released. All 134 of them. It's only $20 for 8 albums, so, give it a look.

Additionally, I just wrapped up my new album and I'm so incredibly proud of it. It is WITHOUT QUESTION the BEST album that I've ever made. I can't wait to give it to you guys. As always, it will be accompanied by a super cool mix-tape and a gang of wild music videos. You know how I roll. Very, very excited.

I meant for this to be a short "Hey, this is the new website." message, but it turned into a not-so-short "Hey, this is everything that happened to me in 2016 and this is everything that's going to be happening in 2017" message. I should have known.

Let's wrap this thing up, though.

I love you guys from the bottom of my heart. Your unwavering support means more to me than I could ever write down in a blog or say on a microphone. It truly means the world and more. Stay tuned to this website for all the latest news, rumours, music, videos and clothing. 2017 is going to be a big year for us. I can promise you that.

Aside from this website, you can click on any of the social media icons in the footer of the page to stay in touch elsewhere in cyberspace.

I promise I'll talk a bunch of shit about people that I don't like in my next blog. Who needs to waste time writing diss tracks when you can just shit on people without rhyming? This blog is going to be TIGHT.

I love you.
